Nine months later, and I still cannot believe that Nathan and I welcomed Timothy into this world on August 12th, 2025. I can’t believe God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy, and I can only imagine what awesome adventures await our family with Timmy!
Before I get into the whole birth story (which will be a condensed version, because this would then be a newsletter with over 2000 words), I wanted to thank each and every single one of you – yet again – for all your prayers, support, and love in following my little family on this exciting journey we call life. From the baby showers in Arizona and California, the texts/calls checking in on us, to the sweet care packages … Nathan and I are so, so thankful for you all.
We welcomed Timothy two weeks before his due date (which was August 26th), due to a sudden complication in my pregnancy that required me to be induced on the 11th. Thus, it was quite the hectic L&D.
Two days of labor commenced, and an infection during labor arose which led to an emergency C-Section. Even though things did not go to plan, what matters is that Timothy came out of the womb healthy as can be, and praise God that he did!
Timothy and I got discharged from the hospital later that week, and I was excited to finally be home. A few hours after getting home, I woke up from a nap feeling absolutely miserable with a 104 fever. I was then readmitted due to additional complications from my infection that didn’t get sorted out. I spent a few more days in the hospital until the fever subsided and I was able to semi-function well without antibiotics. I returned home (again) feeling much better, and I’ve been regaining my strength slowly but surely everyday. I know I still have a long road to recovery to go, and I’m antsy to remove that pregnancy weight, haha!
Now here we are, three weeks postpartum, and Nathan and I are in the “newborn trenches.” We’re definitely going through the ‘first-time parents’ ups and downs, but Timothy has been a relatively easy baby with us. He cries for normal baby needs, such as needing diaper changes or when he’s hungry or tired. He loves to sleep during car rides, and gives us the funniest faces whenever he eats/has his wake period.
Nathan and I would definitely appreciate your continued prayers for our family, especially that Timothy would continue to be a healthy baby and the patience/guidance for Nathan and I as we raise Timothy to walk with the Lord!
We can’t wait for Timothy to meet all of you!
Soli Deo Gloria,
Lyrah Margo
